Planeguard Aircraft Detailing is a trading name of Planeguard Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (Company Number: 16587914). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.

1. DATA WE COLLECT

1.1 We collect only the information necessary to process and manage your booking. This may include:

  • Name and contact details (email address, phone number)
  • Aircraft details (type, registration, location)
  • Payment details (processed securely via Stripe)

1.2 We also retain service-related records including invoices and photographs of works carried out.

2. PURPOSE OF PROCESSING

2.1 We use your personal data solely to:

  • Confirm, manage, and deliver your booking
  • Communicate with you regarding your service
  • Issue invoices, receipts, or related documentation
  • Maintain service records (invoices and photographs)

2.2 We do not use your data for marketing purposes unless you have explicitly consented.

3.1 Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are:

  • Contractual necessity – processing required to provide the services you request
  • Legal obligation – retaining invoices for tax and accounting compliance

4. DATA RETENTION

4.1 We retain invoices and service photographs for record-keeping and legal compliance. These are stored securely.

4.2 The only card data stored is securely handled by Stripe. We never have access to your full card details.

4.3 Pre-authorisations are used only with your agreement and payments are never captured without prior service agreements and confirmation of works completed.

5. PAYMENT SECURITY

5.1 All payments are processed securely via Stripe, a PCI-DSS compliant provider. Alternatively for private clients, we offer a bank transfer upon issue of an invoice.

5.2 Planeguard Ltd does not have visibility of, or store, your card details at any point.

6. DATA SHARING

6.1 We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data.

6.2 We only share data where necessary for service delivery, such as:

  • Payment processing via Stripe
  • Email communication platforms used to confirm bookings

7. YOUR RIGHTS

Under UK GDPR, you have the following rights:

  • Access – to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
  • Rectification – to correct inaccurate or incomplete data
  • Erasure – to request deletion of your data, where legally permissible
  • Restriction – to limit how we process your data
